ANKARA UNIVERSITY 2020-2021 ACADEMIC YEAR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT 3. ONLINE FINAL REGISTRATION TO ASSOCIATE AND BACHELOR / UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

 

You can  check your results from admissions.ankara.edu.tr (Please click “PLACEMENT RESULT”) system.

 

According to the Ankara University Associate and Bachelor/Undergraduate Programs based on the exam results obtained from Ankara University Examination for Foreign Students (2019-AYÖS / 2020-AYÖS) and other equivalent exams (SAT I, ACT, International Baccalaureate, ABITUR, etc.) in 2020-2021 Academic Year, registration process of the international students who have gained temporary enrollment right will be made online by Student Affairs online registration system. between 7-9 October 2020 as stated below.

 

1- FINAL REGISTRATION DATE

Enrollment will be made online between 7-9 October 2020 by Student Affairs online registration system.

ONLINE ENROLLMENT PROCESS                         

 

1- Login https://obs.ankara.edu.tr – YOS Student Information Registration Form address with your AYOS number and your e-mail address. E-mail address should be same with application e-mail.

  1. a)      If you have tuition fee waiver
  2. Fill out all the necessary information on the registration screen and tick the checkboxes.
  3. Upload your photograph
  4. After clicking the “Complete Registration” button, your temporary registration will be done automatically and your status will be active. (The registration date is recorded as the date you filled this form.)
  5. After your temporary enrollment completed, you must use the Username and Password, sent to your e-mail address, in order to enter https://obs.ankara.edu.tr as a student.

 

  1. b)      If you don’t have tuition fee waiver;
  2. When you login YOS Student Information Registration Form, you will see Bank Account Number for tuition fee payment.
  3. Fill out all the necessary information on the registration screen and tick the checkboxes.
  4. Upload your photograph.
  5. If you don’t upload your tuition fee payment receipt, you can’t complete your enrollment.
  6. When you click the “Complete Registration” button, your enrollment will not be active immediately. After confirmation that you have paid the tuition fee, your temporary enrollment will be made.
  7. After your temporary enrollment completed, you must use the Username and Password, sent to your e-mail address, in order to enter https://obs.ankara.edu.tr as a student.

2-    You can check your enrollment status and student number on the page called “Registration Status” (New Registered Students) https://obs.ankara.edu.tr/preregistration/listnewstudents page on oidb.ankara.edu.tr.

4-DOCUMENT DELIVERY PROCESS

(Mandatory Documents Required Between 01 OCTOBER-15 DECEMBER 2020)

After your online enrollment completed, your registration status has been created as “Temporary Registration”. If you submit your required documents to the Student Affairs Registrar’s Office between the dates mentioned above, your registration status will be updated as “Final Registration”.

 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

1- International Student Enrollment Form

  • The items indicated by (*) in the registration form must be filled in mandatory. Article 12,14,15,18 students are mandatory for foreign nationals (except blue card holders, Turkish citizens and dual citizens) must fill. Articles 16, 17 are required to be filled in by foreign nationals (excluding blue cards and dual citizens) and resident permit holders.

2- Original Copy of Ankara University Foreign Student Placement Certificate

You can print out the original copy of the Ankara University Foreign Student Placement Certificate by logging in https://ayostercih.ankara.edu.tr/Login/Index with your e-mail address and the password you have used when applying.

 

3- Passport Copy, Copy of Residence Permit (if any)

 

NOTE:

  • Candidates who do not have a residence permit must bring their foreigner identification numbers (YU number) together with their residence permit to the Student Affairs Registrar’s Office after registration
  • Blue card holders and those who are Turkish citizens do not need to bring a copy of the residence permit.

 

4- ID information documents for Turkish citizens by birth but who have lost Turkish citizenship via residential permit, and who have Turkish nationality up to the third sub-lineage and can delivers the record from Blue ID Register from Blue ID or ID-Share system, and also who can deliver ID record from their own national country

5- Applicants who hold dual citizenship (if one is Turkish Republic citizenships) must submit the certificate of identity register copy

6-Original result of the Ankara University Foreign Student Placement document/acceptance letter, Examination for Foreign Students (2018-AYÖS / 2019-AYÖS) and other equivalent exams (ABITUR, IB, SAT I, ACT, ACT, TAWJIHI French Baccalaureate,  etc.)

 

NOTE:

  • Candidates who are TRNC citizens who have gain enrollment right with GCE result must approve their results from TRNC Ministry of Education.

 

  • For the attention of applicants applying with SAT1 score; SAT1 score reports must be sent directly to the registration address (Student Affairs) via ETS until the registration dates December 15, 2020).

  • Candidates who will be registered with the TQDK result, along with the approved test results, a result document approved by the Azerbaijan Test Center is required.

 

  • Candidates who will be registered with the aptitude tests should not only provide above mentioned necessary requirements, but also required to take an aptitude test conducted by the related faculty or departmen

7- Original Copy of High School Diploma

8- Certified copy of high school diploma and certified copy of Turkish translation of the diploma. Certification should be done in a notary public or office of education counselor by Sworn Translator.

9- Original copy of Transcript and Certified copy of transcript. Certification should be done in a notary public or office of education counselor by Sworn Translator.

10- An Equivalence Letter from the Ministry of Education of Turkey or from the Turkish Embassy Education Counsellor in their country, certifying that the diploma is equivalent to a Turkish High School Diploma,

11-Applicants who apply pursuant to the Article 4 of the application criteria must submit a certified document which states that the applicant has completed the entire secondary education abroad (a certified document from the school graduated or a transcript covering the complete education period),

12- The result of the GCE AL exam for citizens of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus who still reside and have taken the GCE AL exam after completing their secondary education in the TRNC, and who took the GCE AL exam after completing their secondary education in foreign countries between 2005-2010, (It must be approved by the Ministry of Education of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus)

  • (It must be approved by TRNC Ministry of Education.)

13- 6 biometric photos which are taken recently, 3.5×4.5 cm. in size,

14- Tuition fee bank statement

15- Financial Assurance Certificate

  • The Candidates who are accepted for enrollment must certify that their economic status is eligible for their study of first year of accepted progra Mentioned amount should be at candidates’ bank account; bank account must be from a bank in Turkey.

 

  • If the candidate’s mother or father who undertakes to cover all the education expenses, he or she must fill in the petition sample from the link below and sign the petition, petitioner must fill in and sign the petition sample and add the passport or identity card of the signer of the petition and the document shows Financial Assurance. (Approved salary payroll or at least one annual tuition fee amount should be at father’s or mother’s bank account; bank account must be from a bank in Turkey.

16-Candidates who have the right to enroll in the Turkish programs of our university are required to upload their Ankara University Turkish and Foreign Languages Research and Application Centre (TÖMER) diploma /Yunus Emre Institute Turkish Proficiency Document or registration document to the system.

5- RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATION

If students, who have completed their online registration, don’t have residence permit must visit Immigration Office web site (http://e-ikamet.goc.gov.tr) and make their online application for residence permit. After preparing all required documents, documents should deliver to Foreign Student Admission Office (E-mail: ug.admissions@ankara.edu.tr, Tel: +90 312 2126040/2098-2099)

 

NOTE1:

Students, who have completed their online registration, must submit required documents (originals and certified copies) to the Student Affairs Registrar’s Office between the dates October 1st – December 15th 2020.

 

NOTE2:

Upon the completion of preference and registration process, students who don’t have TÖMER Diploma from Ankara University will be subjected to a one-time free Turkish Proficiency Exam by Ankara University Turkish and Foreign Languages Centre (TOMER).

(Except Turkish Republic Diploma holders and Students enrolled in programs with 100% foreign language education)

 

NOTE3:

Candidates’, who will not have the registration requirements, registration will be cancelled even if their placement or registration is made.

 

NOTE4:

 In respect to the general assembly decision of Council of Higher education, student allocation will be done for 10% of the quotas in the departments of Teacher Education, Dentistry, Law and Medicine, among the candidates who hold blue card or Turkish citizens who have completed their high school education abroad (except TRNC) or dual nationality owners whose one of the nationalities is Turkish Republic. Even if the students who have nationality mentioned above are registered to these programs, their registration will be cancelled.
